Welcome to les Concerts du 7ème Ciel. Le 7ème Ciel is a secret place, high up in the sky, where we host intimate acoustic concerts on a Parisian rooftop overlooking the Sacré Cœur basilica. Read about your hosts, forthcoming and past events.
We are called Simone and Diamanda. We are two cats who live on the roof of a seven floor building in the 18th district of Paris with a beautiful view over the Sacré Cœur church. The boy and the girl who buy our food like Nina Simone and Diamanda Galàs a lot. Hence our rebel names.
During the summer months, we ask musicians we love to come and play on the terrace. These concerts are always free, secret and beautiful little affairs. They are also acoustic and unamplified.
For every concert, we open our home to a small number of fans we don't know anything about and have never met before. These lucky people usually win their ticket through a competition we have with a press partner. I guess we are the grooviest cats the rusty Parisian roofs have ever seen.
Gareth Dickson & Fiodor Dream Dog – dimanche 27 mai 2012
Guitariste de VASHTI BUNYAN et collaborateur de MAX RICHTER ou de JUANA MOLINA, GARETH DICKSON poursuit également une route en solo depuis 2005. Fragile et mélancolique, la musique folk de l’écossais exhale une beauté atmosphérique remarquable, conviant la guitare acoustique à répandre ses arpèges sur un matelas ambiant. Fréquemment comparé à NICK DRAKE (même vulnérabilité, même timbre de voix), Gareth évoque les langueurs du sombre héro du folk anglais et la magnificence instrumentale de LABRADFORD.
Le 7ème Ciel est ravi de recevoir ce jeune et talentueux musicien dont le nouveau disque, Quite A Way Away, vient tout juste de paraître.
FIODOR DREAM DOG, c'est Tatiana Mladenovitch, multi-instrumentiste et batteuse hors pairs. Parallèlement à sa participation aux disques et aux concerts de THEO HAKOLA, EMILY LOIZEAU ou BERTRAND BELIN et de ses activités pour le théâtre et la danse, Fiodor Dream Dog sort en 2009 un premier album, I Lose Things. Celui-ci est suivi fin 2011 par Second Of Joy, un disque qui confirme le talent de Tatiana pour écrire une musique pop audacieuse. Impertinent et authentique, Fiodor Dream Dog magnifie une foultitude d’influences pour en faire des chansons éclatantes.
Pour ce concert au 7ème Ciel, Tatiana sera accompagnée de THE SKIPS, à savoir Vincent Mougel, Katel et Diane Sorel.
